I first started with Australian parakeets in 1970 and later on I changed to breeding Cockatoos like Sulphur- crested, Major Mitchell, Triton, Roseate, and Moluccan Cockatoo’s.
In addition to them I also bought Amazons and Macaws. I had a lot of trouble with the Cockatoos, some of the males were very aggressive and hurt the females- and sometimes the female’s died from these injuries. That made me so sad, that I changed my point of view and I found the exceptional Eclectus. I gave away most of the old stock and acquired several subspecies of Eclectus parrots and I am happy I did to this today.
Special thanks to Jo Kenning from Australia. About the interests we have in parrots and our long friendship. He lived in Australia, and visited New Guinea and the Solomon Islands where he took pictures and films of the parrots and the wildlife.
